ROCKVILLE, MD – JOOLA and Maryland Table Tennis Center (MDTTC) have signed an agreement for JOOLA to become the official equipment sponsor of the club. MDTTC opened in 1992 as one of the first premier full-time table tennis clubs in the United States.
JOOLA and MDTTC have a long history spanning back to when the club was first established. JOOLA President, Richard Lee, is a Maryland native and avid table tennis player. He has played at MDTTC for over 2 decades and many members of the JOOLA USA staff also play there regularly.
On the sponsorship, Lee said, “I have played at MDTTC for years and have personally witnessed the talent that is being developed there. Since 2016, JOOLA has been a sponsor of HW Global Foundation, a table tennis talent development program at MDTTC. Sponsoring MDTTC was the natural next step. Both JOOLA and MDTTC are dedicated to promoting table tennis and growing the sport and I am extremely proud to partner with them on this mission.”
Established in 1953, JOOLA is a leader in table tennis. JOOLA creates a wide variety of table tennis rackets, apparel, tables, and accessories for players, both professional and recreational. As part of the sponsorship deal, MDTTC will be using all JOOLA 3000SC competition tables and tournament barriers. JOOLA balls will become the official ball for all tournaments held at the club and the club store will also exclusively carry JOOLA products.
Located in Germantown, MD, just 15 minutes away from JOOLA’s USA headquarters, MDTTC is recognized as one of the best table tennis clubs in the nation. A 10,000+ square feet state-of-the-art facility, MDTTC has been selected by the International Table Tennis Federation as an ITTF International Training Center Hot Spot and is designated as a National Center of Excellence by USATT.
