The Westchester Table Tennis Club claims that it is the premier table tennis club in New York and the Northeast. After our visit, we find that it’s hard to disagree!
Started by Will Shortz, the New York Times crossword puzzle editor, and best friend Robert Roberts, the Westchester Table Tennis Club offers a great place to play north of New York City.
When you enter the club, one of the first things you’ll notice is a collection of antique table tennis / ping pong memorabilia. It definitely creates a sense of nostalgia while inside one of the most modern playing facilities.
The facility is spacious, to say the least. At 13,000+ square feet, the club boasts an impressive 18 tables, 21’ ceiling, a gymnasium floor, and professional lighting.
Aside from the amazing facility, the club provides tons of activity for its members, ranging from multiple league nights, to private and group lessons, and even to table tennis therapy for students with Asperger’s and other disabilities. If you have the time, we definitely encourage you to visit the Westchester Table Tennis Center!
